Hey! I’m Leah

I’m a virtual Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in Alberta, Canada. 

Modern families understand that our relationship to our bodies and food is important. We as adults know how to eat, but we weren't ever taught how to teach someone else to do it. It's okay if this feels like uncharted territory, because it is! 

Through a mindful framework I help families support kids natural ability to eat intuitively and preserve their connection to their bodies individualized nutrition needs. I will help you have less stress with mealtime, less food battles with your kids, and help you support your family in raising body confident kids!

It starts with understanding that kids are learning how to eat, and they don’t always make food choices the way adults do. Young kids, such as toddlers and elementary age children are not always motivated to eat certain foods just because a person labels it 'healthy'. A common misconception in parents is that by simply labelling nutritious food as 'healthy', their kids will be more likely to eat it. Contrary to that belief, most kids make food choices based on the experiences they have had with that food, their bodies needs, and how often they have been exposed to a food.

I work together with families to create a simple plan on how to help with:

-Baby’s first foods

-Selective eating/Picky eating

-Raising body confident intuitive eaters
